大協奏曲（Concerto grosso）為巴洛克時期常見曲種，以器樂群與樂團合奏兩組輪流交替出現，相互對比。本場音樂會特別挑選各時期擅長於大協奏曲創作的幾位作曲家，包括柯賴里（A.Corelli）、韋瓦第（A. Vivaldi）、阿爾弗瑞德．舒尼特克（Alfred Schnittke）。

同時本場演出將首演由巴洛克獨奏家樂團委託臺灣青年作曲家陳以軒創作給琵琶、小提琴、大鍵琴之大協奏曲《季遇》。仿照巴洛克時期大協奏曲式，由琵琶、小提琴及大鍵琴為獨奏與弦樂團相互對話，以「季節相遇」為發想，將「協奏樂團」作為表現季節變化無常的形象，「獨奏群」則為不同季節的影響下所自然誕生的生態圈，兩者間互動時而平衡、時而衝突，將大協奏曲中的獨有架構體現出自然環境與生物個體的交錯關係。並以胎兒的「心跳」動機貫穿全曲，描繪出季節之下所孕育出不同樣態的生命。別於以往以視覺體會季節在色彩間的變化，《季遇》以「心跳」作為聆聽線索，透過「聽覺」引導聽眾感受出季節的節奏感與動態感。

巴洛克獨奏家樂團的團員們都是在臺灣音樂界的一時之選，每位團員都是自成一格的獨奏家。此次多首大協奏曲演出，看器樂群與樂團在舞臺上相互競技演奏，展現爭奇鬥豔又合作無間的精彩，並首次與國樂器合作，期待擦出不一樣的火花，並帶給樂迷全新感受！。

Concerto Grosso is a typical type of instrumental ensemble in the Baroque period. This time, the four grand concertos allow the members to compete with each other, showing the wonderful and seamless cooperation and harmony on the stage.

In addition to the two works of Corelli and Vivaldi, the representative composers of the Baroque period, the selection of repertoire specially selects the "Concerto Grosso No. 1" commissioned by Gidon Cremer and Tatiana Grindenko in 1976.The most distinctive repertoire of this concert is "Hearing Seasons" for Concerto Grosso commissioned by the Baroque Camerata and Taiwan's emerging composer Chen Yi-Hsien, with pipa, violin and piano as solo groups, and string orchestra as ensemble group.
