Auf über 500 Bühnen Europas ist „Das Phantom der Oper“ des Autorenteams Deborah Sasson und Jochen Sautter seit 2010 von Zuschauern und Kritikern begeistert aufgenommen worden. Damit ist diese deutschsprachige musikalische Neuinszenierung, die zum 100. Geburtstag des 1910 von Gaston Leroux geschriebenen Romans „Le Fantôme de l’Opéra“ entstand, eine der erfolgreichsten Tournee-Musicalproduktionen Europas.

Die Rolle der Christine interpretiert die Bostoner Sängerin und „Echo Klassik“-Preisträgerin Deborah Sasson selbst. Ihre facettenreiche und kraftvolle Sopranstimme ist ideal geeignet für diese Mischung aus Oper und Musical. Auch Musical-Superstar Uwe Kröger konnte für diese herausragende Produktion gewonnen werden. Er übernimmt die prominente Rolle des Phantoms.

“The Phantom of the Opera” by co-authors Deborah Sasson and Jochen Sautter has met with enthusiastic reception on more than 500 stages across Europe since 2010. That makes this new German production of the musical, created to mark the 100th anniversary of Gaston Leroux’ story “Le Fantôme de l’Opéra”, written in 1910, one of the most successful touring musical productions in Europe.

The role of Christine is interpreted by Boston singer and winner of the “Echo Klassik” award Deborah Sasson herself. Her multi-faceted, powerful soprano is ideally suited to this mixture of opera and musical. The Stadthalle has also managed to persuade the superstar of musicals, Uwe Kröger, to take part in this exceptional production. He takes on the leading role of the phantom.
