The first evening relates the story of the fall into sin. In Das Rheingold, not only does Alberich steal the gold from the nymphs of the mythical river, but the chief god, Wotan, also proves his treachery by refusing to pay the giants who built the castle of the gods before obtaining the ring from Alberich with the help of the cunning Loge. This act sets in motion a series of tragic events that we can consider the beginning of the apocalypse, the consequences of a fatal misstep that prefigured the process by which the world would end. This performance's Wotan, the great Danish bass-baritone Johan Reuter, is an old acquaintance of the Wagner Days audience. We can also welcome back as a dear friend, in the role of Loge, one of the biggest stars of the series, the sparkling German tenor Christian Franz. Jochen Schmeckenbecher's Alberich and Jürgen Sacher's Mime promise us scenes rich in conflict. Joining them in this performance conducted by Ádám Fischer will be some wonderful Hungarian singers, such as Zsolt Haja (Donner), Dániel Pataky (Froh), Atala Schöck (Fricka), Lilla Horti (Freia), Erika Gál (Erda), along with Orsolya Sáfár, Gabriella Fodor and Zsófia Kálnay as the three Rhinemaidens.

A nibelung gyűrűje négy estét betöltő gigászi zenedráma-sorozata északi sagák és germán mítoszok nyomán formálódott meg Richard Wagner képzeletében. Istenek, hősök, óriások, törpék, sárkány: mindez távolinak tűnik, ám a Ring varázslata, hogy minden kor embere önnön életének problémáit fedezi fel a konfliktusokban. A Ring rólunk szól! 2024 júniusában a rajongók újból átélhetik a Nagy Mű csodáját, nemzetközi sztárokkal a színpadon és a világsikerű Budapesti Wagner-napok eseményeibe lelket lehelő Fischer Ádám vezényletével.

Az első este a bűnbeesés történetét mondja el, hiszen A Rajna kincsében nemcsak Alberich rabolja el az aranyat a mitikus folyam sellőitől, de a főisten, Wotan is szószegőnek bizonyul, megtagadván a fizetséget az istenek várát felépítő óriásoktól, majd a furfangos Loge segítségével megszerezvén a gyűrűt Alberichtől. Ezzel olyan tragikus események sorozatát indítja el, amelyeket a végromlás kezdeteként, a világpusztulás folyamatát előidéző végzetes ballépés következményeiként értékelünk. Az előadás Wotanja, a nagyszerű dán basszbariton, Johan Reuter régi ismerőse a Wagner-napok közönségének. Jóbarátként üdvözölhetjük újra a sorozat egyik legnagyobb sztárját, a Loge szerepében sziporkázó német tenort, Christian Franzot. Konfliktusgazdag perceket ígér Jochen Schmeckenbecher Alberichje és Jürgen Sacher Miméje. Mellettük olyan nagyszerű hazai énekesek lépnek színpadra a Fischer Ádám vezényelte produkcióban, mint Haja Zsolt (Donner), Pataky Dániel (Froh), Schöck Atala (Fricka), Horti Lilla (Freia), Gál Erika (Erda), valamint Sáfár Orsolya, Fodor Gabriella és Kálnay Zsófia a három sellő alakítójaként.
