Musik som er kendt af millioner og for mange næsten definitionen på klassisk musik. Concerto Copenhagen præsenterer en sommerturné med De fire årstider af Vivaldi!
Le quattro stagioni, de fire violinkoncerter der skildrer årets gang i Italien, er Vivaldis uden sammenligning mest berømte og mest spillede værker. Mange kan nynne med uden nødvendigvis at vide, hvad det er – og for flere er det næsten definitionen på hvad klassisk musik er.

 

De fire Årstider er ikke blot vellyd og opfindelsesevne, her er masser af fantasi, farverigdom, kontraster og følelsesudtryk. Det er som om, at vi alle kan mærke vinterkulden eller sommerheden, høre stormen med dens tordenbrag, sanse knitrende is eller summende fluer, være med i jagt og dans eller sygne hen i fredfyldt sløvhed.

 

De fire koncerter er Vivaldi i koncentrat, men Vivaldi er mere end bare årstiderne. Concerto Copenhagen har derfor sammensat et program, hvor Vivaldis all time hit bliver perspektiveret af anden musik Vivaldi komponerede på samme tid.

Music known by millions and for many almost the definition of classical music. Concerto Copenhagen presents a summer tour with The Four Seasons by Vivaldi!
Le quattro Stagioni, the four violin concertos depicting the year in Italy, are without comparison Vivaldi’s most famous and most played work. Many can hum along without necessarily knowing what it is they are humming to – and to even more people it is almost the definition of what classical music is.

 

“The four seasons” is not only great sounds and inventiveness, but there is plenty of imagination, color, contrasts, and emotional expression as well. It is like we all can feel the cold winter or the summer heat, hear the storm with its thunder and lightning, sense the crackling ice or the humming flies, being a part of the hunt, the dance or dazing of into a peaceful sleepiness.

 

The four violin concertos are concentrated Vivaldi, but Vivaldi is so much more than just “the four seasons”. Concerto Copenhagen has therefore collected a program where Vivaldi’s all-time hits are juxtapositioned with some of Vivaldi’s other compositions from the same time.
