For the first time in its more than 50-year history, the Möbisch Lake Festival is presenting Franz Lehàr's operetta "The Tsarevich". The story of the tsarevitch and his unsuitable love captivates with a successful mixture of Russian local color and Neapolitan joie de vivre. Musical catchy tunes like the "Volgalied" and Sonja's longing song "One will come" make the hearts of every operetta fan beat faster. The young Tsarevich is embodied by the Romanian tenor Tiberius Simu and Alexandra Reinprecht from the Vienna State Opera slips into the role of his lover Sonja. Artistic director Harald Serafin can be seen again in 2010 as the Russian Grand Duke on the lake stage.
