La più famosa ed emblematica operetta dello spirito magiaro e quella maggiormente rappresentata.  “Questo matrimonio non s’ha da fare” la trama dell’operetta ricorda per alcune situazioni il celebre romanzo di Alessandro Manzoni. Gli austeri principi di Lippert-Weilersheim non possono accettare che il loro figlio, il principe Edvino, sposi una canzonettista.  Ma lui si ostina e davanti a tutti i presenti all’Orpheum di Budapest, famoso locale notturno, dichiara di disattendere le aspettative della famiglia e di sposare Silva nel giro di otto settimane. Fra equivoci, drammi da operetta e scambi di coppie si arriverà naturalmente al lieto fine.

The most famous and emblematic operetta of the Hungarian spirit and the one most represented.
