In the face of abuse and excess of freedom, forgiveness always appears
Marc Minkowski and Ivan Alexandre offer us an ambitious and refreshing challenge: to present four cycles of the three operas in the collaboration between Lorenzo Da Ponte and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. A journey in three episodes, tiles of an extraordinary mosaic.

Each of these masterpieces has an autonomous entity in itself, but they constitute a coherent suite with a number of common elements: respect for the principle of the units of classical theater (place, time and action) and analogies and echoes between the characters (Countess-Donna Elvira / Don Giovanni-Count ...). On the other hand, each booklet takes on the true dimension by associating with the other two titles, which, in some way, come to complete and clarify aspects.

The successive approach, as if it were a festival, reveals a special tension and, thus, the public is invited to dive into the tumultuous life of this gallery of characters where, already residing in the myth, it shows a female suffering shared source of a male violent form. The only refuge for women lies in their solidarity. In the face of abuse and excess of freedom, forgiveness always appears.

This new perspective will reveal new meanings and confront viewers with the notion of seduction by asking questions such as “what does it mean to be a man or a woman in today’s society?”, “What limits do we place on our desire?” in a day? ”,“ what are the consequences of our impulses or abuse? ”.

The notion of seduction lies at the heart of this trilogy: an eternal mirror and an infinite manual for life. In this crazy day , in which they do everything , we have a hymn that everyone repeats: Viva la libertà !
