In the cultural summer of 2021, the Baden stage brings Johann Strauss' musical masterpiece to the summer arena! The operetta in 3 acts is one of his most performed - a cheerful game of cat and mouse about the luxury-spoiled Duke of Urbino. The Duke is a well-known womanizer. His personal barber, Caramello, is in a relationship with the poor fisherman girl Annina, who knows how to thwart the duke's plans. Intrigues within the senatorship, women's cunning and wit and the famous Venice Carnival are the ingredients of this operetta in which "fun and madness and lust reign".
