"The Sound of Climate" is an exciting concert format combining classical music and modern technology to make the highly relevant topic of climate change and its consequences vividly tangible for a young audience. For this project, the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra is cooperating with video designer David Chocron and Polyarts/HarrisonParrott, who won the Young Audience Music Award in the category "Best Large Ensemble" for this concept in 2020. The video installation with striking images on the theme of climate change and its effects is complemented by current photos of "Fridays for Future" campaigns. The images are accompanied by moving pieces of classical music that match the project’s theme. Immerse your senses and let yourself be taken on a very special kind of musical journey!

»The Sound of Climate« ist ein spannendes Konzertformat, das klassische Musik und moderne Technik kombiniert, um das relevante Thema des Klimawandels und seine Folgen für ein junges Publikum anschaulich und greifbar zu machen. Die Bamberger Symphoniker realisieren dieses Projekt in Kooperation mit dem Videodesigner David Chocron und Polyarts/HarrisonParrott, die für dieses Konzept 2020 den Young-Audience Music Award in der Kategorie »Best Large Ensemble« erhielten. Die aufwendige 3D-Video-Installation mit eindringlichen Bildern zum Klimawandel und seinen Folgen wird durch aktuelle Fotos von »Fridays for Future«-Aktionen ergänzt. Untermalt werden die Bilder von berührenden Stücken der klassischen Musik, die thematisch abgestimmt sind. Taucht mit allen Sinnen ein und lasst euch mitnehmen auf eine musikalische Reise der besonderen Art!
