Το πλούσιο πρόγραμμα της συναυλίας ξεκινά με την εισαγωγή από την όπερα του Berlioz Μπενβενούτο Τσελίνι, εμπνευσμένη από τη ζωή και το έργο αυτής της πολύπλευρης καλλιτεχνικής προσωπικότητας της Ιταλικής Αναγέννησης. Ακολουθεί η σύνθεση Fantasia concertante του Εξάρχοντα βιολιστή της ΚΟΘ Σίμου Παπάνα, με σολίστ στη βιόλα ένα ακόμη μέλος της ΚΟΘ, τον David-Aleksander Bogorad, ο οποίος θα ερμηνεύσει σολιστικά, με βιολί αυτή τη φορά, και την πλούσια σε τσιγγάνικα θέματα σύνθεση του Sarasate Zigeunerweisen. Το πρόγραμμα κλείνει με την αριστουργηματική Πρώτη Συμφωνία του Brahms, ένα έργο που ο δημιουργός του δούλευε 14 ολόκληρα χρόνια, μέχρι να το τελειοποιήσει.

The rich concert programme kicks off with the overture to Berlioz's opera Benvenuto Cellini, inspired by the life and works of the same multifaceted acclaimed artist of the Italian Renaissance. It is followed by Fantasia concertante by concertmaster of the TSSO Simos Papanas, with David-Aleksander Bogorad, another member of the TSSO, as viola soloist. Bogorad will also play, this time on the violin Sarasate Zigeunerweisen which is brimming with Gypsy themes. The programme will be rounded off with Brahms' First Symphony, a masterpiece which took the composer 14 whole years to complete.
