Goethe's Faust is back where he began his career as a devil's pact: he sits there alone, old and confused and memories rise from the haze and fog of the theater: Gretchen's nasty questions, Helena's classic coolness, Mephisto's irritating irony. In a flashback parallel montage, Faust I and Faust II are transformed into a Beethovenesque musical memory mosaic: "The inadequate, here's the event...". Attributed to the youth and children's choir conducted by Ekaterina Klewitz, director Jürgen R. Weber brought this total work of art to the big stage of the Bonn Opera House. As in the scenic WINTERREISE, the music can be heard in a new context and arrangement: "The indescribable, this is where it gets done!"
