Festival «MusiKos», a concert in Nisyros: Concert

Concerts and activities in the Southern Aegean: Rhodes, Kos, Nisyros, Chalki, Kastelorizo.

This autumn, the Athens State Orchestra is staging its third annual MusiKos festival in collaboration with “Next Day”, the not-for-profit International Intervention for Sustainable Development and Quality of Life, and with the full support and under the auspices of the Hellenic Parliament, the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Sports, the General Secretariat of the Aegean and Island Policy, the South Aegean Region, the Municipal Organization for Culture and Sports of Rhodes, the Municipality of Nisyros, the Municipality of Chalki and the Municipality of Megisti.

The Festival aims to present high-quality performances, to promote wide-ranging collaborations between local authorities and musical and educational institutions, to develop the Greek provinces, to reach out to socially sensitive groups, and to make culture available to society as a whole. Eight concerts will be staged in total, all of them with free admission for the public: two on Kos (September 11 & 15), three on Rhodes (September 12, 14 & 17), and one each on the islands of Nisyros, Kastelorizo and Chalki .

The repertoire performed is extremely wide-ranging, extending from classical music to operetta and film music, and will be performed by prominent ASO ensembles. As the bicentenary of the 1821 Greek Revolution, 2021 is a key year for the nation, which is why this year's MusiKos Festival is dedicated to Greek music and Greek artists. All the concerts are thus underpinned by the desire to shed light on the course of Greek music over these two centuries of freedom.

Η Κρατική Ορχήστρα Αθηνών, σε συνεργασία με τη Διεθνή Παρέμβαση για την Αειφόρο Ανάπτυξη και την Ποιότητα Ζωής «Επόμενη Ημέρα-ΑΜΚΕ» και με την αμέριστη υποστήριξη και αιγίδα της Βουλής των Ελλήνων, του Υπουργείου Πολιτισμού και Αθλητισμού, της Γενικής Γραμματείας Αιγαίου και Νησιωτικής Πολιτικής, της Περιφέρειας Νοτίου Αιγαίου, του Δήμου Ρόδου-Δ.Ο.Π.Α.Ρ., του Δήμου Νισύρου, του Δήμου Χάλκης και του Δήμου Μεγίστης συνεχίζει για τρίτη χρονιά το Φεστιβάλ «ΜουσιΚώς».

Διοργάνωση με στόχο την παρουσίαση εκδηλώσεων υψηλού επιπέδου, την προώθηση ενός ευρύτατου συνεργατικού σχήματος μεταξύ τοπικών αρχών, μουσικών και εκπαιδευτικών φορέων, την ανάπτυξη της περιφέρειας, την επαφή με ευαίσθητες κοινωνικά ομάδες και ένα ευρύτερο άνοιγμα στον πολιτισμό. Συνολικά θα πραγματοποιηθούν 8 συναυλίες με ελεύθερη είσοδο για το κοινό: δύο συναυλίες στην Κω (11 & 15 Σεπτεμβρίου), τρεις στη Ρόδο (12, 14 & 17 Σεπτεμβρίου), ενώ οι υπόλοιπες θα υλοποιηθούν στα νησιά της Νισύρου, του Καστελόριζου και της Χάλκης.

Το ρεπερτόριο των συναυλιών του Φεστιβάλ είναι ευρύτατο και εκτείνεται από την κλασική μουσική έως την οπερέτα και την κινηματογραφική μουσική και θα ερμηνευτεί από εξέχοντα σύνολα της Ορχήστρας. Το 2021 είναι κομβική χρονιά καθώς εορτάζονται τα 200 χρόνια από την Ελληνική Επανάσταση. Για το λόγο αυτό, το φετινό Φεστιβάλ «ΜουσιΚώς» είναι «αφιερωμένο» στην ελληνική μουσική δημιουργία και στους Έλληνες καλλιτέχνες. Όλες οι συναυλίες διαπνέονται από την επιθυμία ανάδειξης της πορείας της ελληνικής μουσικής αυτά τα 200 χρόνια ελευθερίας.

Οι συναυλίες δεν θα μπορούσαν να πραγματοποιηθούν χωρίς την στήριξη της Εφορείας Αρχαιοτήτων Δωδεκανήσου.
