STABAT MATER

A great choral-symphonic work with a marked operatic character. It deals with the suffering of the Virgin Mary (the Sorrowful Mother) during the crucifixion of Jesus. Rossini's work harbors a great theatricality and feeling. A work that captivates with its passionate and moving spirit and seduces with the same emotion and orchestral melody that Rossini has accustomed us to in his operas.

Cantata of an operatic nature with a great sense of bel canto for mezzo-soprano, around the figure of the French heroine, which Rossini composed expressly for his second wife in 1832
