Giselle is considered the queen of romantic ballet, known for its complex structure and the music of Adolphe Adam. The ballet contrasts the realism of a life story in the first act with the fantastic content of the second act, serving as a model for subsequent great ballet works. It tells the story of a deceived peasant girl, Giselle, who dies of a broken heart and joins the world of fairies.
