ORFEO CHAMBER ORCHESTRA Stable orchestral formation made up of orchestra professors and young instrumentalists of the new generation, it dedicates itself to a vast repertoire that ranges from Baroque to contemporary, paying close attention to performance practice and musical sources. The orchestra collaborates with the Teatro Massimo V. Bellini of Catania, the Bellini Festival of Rome, the Catanese Amici della Musica Society, the Mozart Italia Musical Association, the Trecastagni International Music Festival, Villa Tasca of Palermo, the Mascagni Musical Association by Palazzolo Acreide. The orchestra has recorded "Music for strings" for the Brilliant Classics record label with which it will produce a new album this year dedicated to the Central European repertoire of the early and late twentieth century. DOMENICO FAMÀ, conductor An orchestra director appreciated for his interpretative research that combines rigor and expressiveness, he is one of the most interesting multi-award-winning and multifaceted musicians of his generation. Represented by various international record labels (Brilliant Classics, Da Vinci Classics) he has collaborated with the Teatro Massimo Vincenzo Bellini of Catania, the Taormina Arte Foundation, the Bellini Festival Foundation of Rome, the Orchestra Classica Viva of Milan, the Orchestra del Maggio Florentine Musical, etc. He is the musical and artistic director of the Orfeo Chamber Orchestra which he founded in Catania. As a composer he is part of the Da Vinci Publishing family in Osaka, for which he has written several works. GIULIA MAZZARA, soprano Graduated with full marks and honors in opera singing at the V. Bellini Conservatory in Catania, under the guidance of Giuseppa Sofia, she specialized with Carmelo Corrado Caruso. She is appreciated for her vocality, she carries out an intense concert activity in Italy and abroad. She made her debut in the role of Barbarina in Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro and, as a soloist, in Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle and Pergolesi's Stabat Mater. Since 2020 she has been part of the Orfeo chamber orchestra, as a soprano soloist. She is a first prize winner in numerous international music performance competitions. She has appeared several times in the Italian magazine Seicorde for her performances of contemporary works, obtaining five stars from specialized critics. GIANNI GIUGA, baritone He graduated from the Giusto Monaco School of Dramatic Arts of the INDA Academy, where he studied acting with Mauro Avogadro, Maurizio Donadoni, Graziano Piazza and Gabriele Lavia. He then graduated in modern literature in 2016. He won the Young Talent Award at the Adriana Maliponte International Competition and at the Aslico Competition 2018. He subsequently studied singing with the tenors Salvatore Fisichella and Marcello Giordani. He held concerts in the Municipal Theaters of Syracuse and Avola, in the Greek Theater of Syracuse, in the Donnafugata Theater of Ragusa Ibla, at the Massimo Bellini in Catania, in the Pavarotti Municipal Theater in Modena, in the Lyric Theater of Cagliari and in the Teatro Regio of Parma etc. .
