Experience the opera stars of tomorrow: The Opera Studio of the Bavarian State Opera presents an evening with arias from IDOMENEO by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, THE PERLENFISCHER by Georges Bizet, THE TALES OF HOFFMANN by Jacques Offenbach and LUCIA DI LAMMERMOOR by Gaetano Donizetti.
The Opera Studio prepares highly talented young artists for an international career in a practical way. After passing the multi-stage selection process, the selected talents support the ensemble of the Bavarian State Opera for a period of one to two years. You will be directly involved in the opera business and take on small to medium-sized roles in the productions. They also receive an accompanying support program, which consists of singing and role studies, acting lessons and selected master classes.
The opera studio was founded in its current form in the 2006/07 season and is artistically directed by Tobias Truniger. In addition to twelve singers, there are also two pianists who also go through an application process and are supported as part of the program.

Erleben Sie die Opernstars von morgen: Das Opernstudio der Bayerischen Staatsoper präsentiert einen Abend mit Arien aus IDOMENEO von Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, DIE PERLENFISCHER von Georges Bizet, HOFFMANNS ERZÄHLUNGEN von Jacques Offenbach und LUCIA DI LAMMERMOOR von Gaetano Donizetti.
Das Opernstudio bereitet hochtalentierte junge Künstler*innen praxisbezogen auf eine internationale Karriere vor. Nach Bestehen des mehrstufigen Auswahlverfahrens, unterstützen die ausgewählten Talente für die Dauer von ein bis zwei Jahren das Ensemble der Bayerischen Staatsoper. Sie werden unmittelbar in den Opernbetrieb eingebunden und übernehmen kleine bis mittlere Partien in den Produktionen. Außerdem erhalten sie ein begleitendes Förderprogramm, das unter anderem aus Gesangs- und Rollenstudium, Schauspielunterricht sowie ausgewählten Meisterkursen besteht.
Das Opernstudio wurde in seiner heutigen Form in der Spielzeit 2006/07 gegründet und wird künstlerisch von Tobias Truniger geleitet. Neben zwölf Sänger*innen gehören ihm außerdem zwei Pianisten an, die ebenfalls ein Bewerbungsverfahren durchlaufen und im Rahmen des Programms gefördert werden.
