The double program presented by the Collegium Baroque Orchestra 1704 and the Collegium Vocale 1704 confronts two religious works by Georg Friedrich Händel and Jan Dismas Zelenka. The psalm  Dixit Dominus  is a youthful work of Händel. He was 22 years old when he finished it, in 1707, in Italy, where he was staying temporarily. The piece premiered in Rome in July of that same year. In the catalog of the work of the German composer it appears with the number HWV 232 and the text copies Psalm 110 from the Book of Psalms. Thirty-four years after the premiere of the  Dixit Dominus , the Czech composer Jan Dismas Zelenka (1679-1745) wrote, in 1741, his  Missa Omnium Santorum for soloist and orchestra. It is the last of the twenty-one that he composed (there are two others whose authorship is in doubt).

Both compositions will be performed by two of the most prestigious ensembles in Europe. The Prague Baroque Orchestra Collegium 1704 and the vocal ensemble Collegium Vocale 1704 were founded by harpsichordist and conductor Václav Luks in 2005 on the occasion of the Bach – Praha – 2005 project. Since 2007, Collegium 1704 has become a regular guest at music festivals. All Europe. In 2014, Collegium 1704 and Václav Luks collaborated with Bejun Mehta on a DVD project of Gluck's opera  Orfeo ed Euridice  and a BBC Two documentary entitled  Mozart in Prague ., starring Rolando Villazon. His recordings have enjoyed continued acclaim from the general public and music critics alike, winning awards including the Diapason d'Or, CD of the Month, Editor's Choice, and a Gramophone Awards nomination. El doble programa que presenta la Orquesta Barroca Collegium 1704 y el Collegium Vocale 1704 confronta dos obras de carácter religioso de Georg Friedrich Händel y Jan Dismas Zelenka. El salmo Dixit Dominus es una obra de juventud de Händel. Tenía 22 años cuando lo terminó, en 1707, en Italia, donde se encontraba temporalmente. La pieza se estrenó en Roma en julio de ese mismo año. En el catálogo de la obra del compositor alemán figura con el número HWV 232 y el texto copia el salmo 110 del Libro de los Salmos. Treinta y cuatro años después del estreno del Dixit Dominus, el compositor checo Jan Dismas Zelenka (1679-1745) escribió, en 1741, su Missa Omnium Santorum para solista y orquesta. Es la última de las veintiuna que compuso (hay otras dos sobre las que se duda de su autoría).

Ambas composiciones las interpretarán dos de las formaciones más prestigiosas de Europa. La orquesta barroca de Praga Collegium 1704 y el conjunto vocal Collegium Vocale 1704 fueron fundados por el clavecinista y director Václav Luks en 2005 con motivo del proyecto Bach – Praha – 2005. Desde 2007, Collegium 1704 se ha convertido en un invitado habitual en festivales de toda Europa. En 2014, Collegium 1704 y Václav Luks colaboraron con Bejun Mehta en un DVD proyecto de la ópera Orfeo ed Euridice de Gluck y un documental de la BBC Two titulado Mozart en Praga, protagonizado por Rolando Villazón.
