No wonder that Claude Debussy came up with the idea of ​​setting this master novella to music after his highly psychological »Pelléas«. From 1908 to 1917 he worked on it. But after his death, not even half an hour of music was found. The director, stage and costume designer Anna Viebrock is one of the most important theater artists in Germany. In Mannheim she will use the opera fragment completed by Robert Orledge to create a music theater piece about the inexorable metamorphosis of a house and its inhabitants, to which further compositions by Debussy will be added. A transformation in several stages, at the end of which abysses open up; Abysses in which new, extremely disturbing time calculations reign.
