Il barbiere di Siviglia Rossini

Il Barbiere di Siviglia is the most famous of Rossini's operas (1816) and the pinnacle of Italian opera-bouffe. Inspired by the eponymous play by Beaumarchais – the first part of a trilogy, Le Roman de la famille Almaviva , of which Le Mariage de Figaro is the second part – it is an absolute hit in the repertoire, a frantic succession of anthology pieces.
For this new production, the director Laurent Pelly makes the protagonists evolve in an astonishing scenography made up of pages of music, brilliantly exploiting all the resources of this setting.
A new production that offers two extremely different but equally remarkable casts: a castof "prestige", led by the Bordeaux baritone Florian Sempey, new star of French singing, and another who is betting on discovery, bringing together young talents already spotted on the biggest international stages (Adèle Charvet, Anas Séguin, Elgan Llŷr Thomas).

Il Barbiere di Siviglia est le plus fameux des opéras de Rossini (1816) et le sommet de l’opéra-bouffe italien. Inspiré de la pièce éponyme de Beaumarchais – première partie d’une trilogie, Le Roman de la famille Almaviva, dont Le Mariage de Figaro constitue le deuxième volet –, c’est un tube absolu du répertoire, succession effrénée de morceaux d’anthologie.
Pour cette nouvelle production, le metteur en scène Laurent Pelly fait évoluer les protagonistes dans une étonnante scénographie formée de pages de musique, exploitant brillamment toutes les ressources de ce décor.
Une nouvelle production qui propose deux distributions extrêmement différentes mais également remarquables : un cast de « prestige », emmené par le baryton bordelais Florian Sempey, nouvelle star du chant français, et un autre qui fait le pari de la découverte, réunissant de jeunes  talents déjà repérés sur les plus grandes scènes internationales (Adèle Charvet, Anas Séguin, Elgan Llŷr Thomas).
