Am Wochenende steht unseren Lustfestspielen das ultimative Klangspektakel ins Haus. Der junge Pultstar Patrick Hahn dirigiert in seiner Heimatstadt Graz die epochalen Carmina Burana von Carl Orff. Wir waren bei der Hauptprobe und haben die rund 200 Mitwirkenden - drei Solist*innen, vier Chöre und das große Orchester Recreation - bereits in glänzender Verfassung erlebt. Satthören unmöglich. Carl Orff never had a better idea than combining medieval monastic chants into a choral cantata. The original Bavarian, who found his final resting place in Andechs Abbey, was very familiar with the pleasurable aspects of the Latin Middle Ages. He transformed the Styrian "Carmina Burana" from Benediktbeuern into a world hit for the 20th century. The performance, conducted by Patrick Hahn, unites two Graz choirs with the orchestra recreation and gives the audience a reunion with two fantastic young singers from last year's "Don Giovanni": Tetiana Miyus and Damien Gastl.
