Ten koncert przejdzie do historii. Poprzedni występ Israel Philharmonic Orchestra na festiwalu Wratislavia Cantans zapisał się w dziejach wrocławskiej kultury jako pierwszy koncert gościnnej orkiestry w Narodowym Forum Muzyki. Zespół powraca, by zagrać jeden ze swoich ostatnich koncertów pod batutą Zubina Mehty w roli stałego szefa orkiestry. Fenomenalny maestro w październiku przechodzi na artystyczną emeryturę. Będzie to niepowtarzalna sposobność, by usłyszeć jedną z najlepszych orkiestr świata prowadzoną przez jej legendarnego dyrygenta.

III Symfonia to pełen rozmachu Mahler, taki, którego publiczność kocha. Sama orkiestra liczy sto piętnaście osób, do tego chór i chór chłopięcy – wszyscy razem tworzą wielką ścianę dźwięku. Wpatrywał się w burze targające jeziorem, wsłuchiwał w miarowe, spokojne fale, obserwował, jak wraz z nadejściem lata życie kiełkuje i bujnie rozkwita wszędzie dookoła, patrzył, jak wszystko zamiera w skwarze południa… i komponował III Symfonię, hymn ku czci witalności i doskonałości natury.

This concert will go down in history. The previous performance of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra at the Wratislavia Cantans festival went down in the history of Wrocław culture as the first concert of a guest orchestra at the National Forum of Music. The ensemble returns to play one of its last concerts conducted by Zubin Mehta as the permanent head of the orchestra. The phenomenal maestro retires in October. It will be a unique opportunity to hear one of the best orchestras in the world conducted by its legendary conductor.

Third Symphonyhe is a full-blown Mahler, one that the audience loves. The orchestra itself consists of one hundred and fifteen people, plus a choir and a boys' choir - all together they form a great wall of sound. At the same time, Mahler is not gloomy and nostalgic, as in some later works, but a thirty-six-year-old full of admiration for nature. The third of his only nine completed symphonies, the music is as pleasant to listen to as the idyllic circumstances of its creation. The artist composed it during two holiday stays in the Alps at Lake Attersee. He was so enchanted by this place that he ordered to build a tiny wooden hut (it still exists today) in the meadow, from which he could see the water and the mountains. He stared at the storms tossing the lake, listened to the steady, calm waves, watchedThird Symphony , a hymn to the vitality and perfection of nature.
