Mit zwei beliebten Klassikern, Ludwig v. Beethovens Sinfonie Pastorale und Bedřich Smetanas Moldau, gestaltet das Staatsorchester Braunschweig am Reformationstag sein erstes Klima-Sinfoniekonzert im Großen Haus des Staatstheaters.

Die Gegenüberstellung von gesunder und schöner Natur in der Pastorale und der Moldau einerseits und der Blick auf den Klimawandel mit Texten des IPCC (Weltklimarat) sowie Bildern der Erde aus der Raumstation ISS andererseits, soll verdeutlichen: die intakte Natur, wie sie Beethoven und Smetana vorfanden, wird immer rasanter zerstört.

Wie gehen wir damit um, wenn eines Tages die Szene am Bach als bloße Erinnerung an eine heile Welt bleibt? Wie fühlen wir uns, wenn in Dürresommern ganze Flüsse versiegen und Seen austrocknen? Und wie gelingt es, nicht nur zu wissen und zu erkennen, sondern auch aktiv zu werden für eine nachhaltige Gesellschaft und den Schutz unseres Klimas? Lassen Sie sich vom Staatsorchester Braunschweig und zwei der beliebtesten Meisterwerke der klassischen Romantik verzaubern und motivieren. Denn jeder kann etwas dazu beitragen, dass unsere Erde auch für künftige Generationen ein gesunder und lebenswerter Planet bleibt.

Featuring two popular classics, Ludwig v. Beethoven's Symphony  Pastorale  and Bedřich Smetana's  Moldau , the Braunschweig State Orchestra will perform its first climate symphony concert in the Great House of the State Theater on Reformation Day.

The juxtaposition of healthy and beautiful nature in the  Pastorale  and  Moldova  on the one hand and the view of climate change with texts from the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) and images of the earth from the ISS space station on the other is intended to make it clear: the intact nature as found by Beethoven and Smetana , is being destroyed more and more rapidly.

How do we deal with it if one day the  scene by the creek  remains as a mere reminder of an ideal world? How do we feel when entire rivers dry up and lakes dry up in droughty summers? And how is it possible not only to know and recognize, but also to take action for a sustainable society and the protection of our climate? Let yourself be enchanted and motivated by the Braunschweig State Orchestra and two of the most popular masterpieces of classical romanticism. Because everyone can contribute something to ensure that our earth remains a healthy planet worth living in for future generations.
