We remember the 2018 lyrical production, where the TRM staged one of the most famous and performed operas in history, La Bohème. This work received the award for Best Comprehensive Opera Production, by the Circle of Art Critics of Chile. "By leaps and bounds, the Regional Theater of Maule, based in Talca, has been surpassing itself, making its own a successful use of the most modern technology for stage design, placing itself in a challenging lead." This opera in four acts with music by Giacomo Puccini and libretto in Italian by Giuseppe Giacosa and Luigi Illica, in a saga of stories by Henri Murger entitled "Scenes from Bohemian Life". Its main characteristic is its genuine melodic beauty, in addition to masterfully combining comedy and melodrama. The original story is set in Paris at the beginning of the 19th century, but this TRM staging was set in the 1930s, one hundred years later. The plot revolves around the life of a group of artists in conflict and with poor economic conditions. A poet, a painter, a philosopher and a musician, who share experiences with a humble seamstress and a flirtatious singer. The main story is the love between Mimí and Rodolfo, who fall in love as soon as they meet, but jealousy makes Rodolfo want to leave Mimí, not knowing that she was mortally ill. Upon learning of the health situation of his beloved, Rodolfo feels guilty, because their life together has worsened his health even more

Recordamos la producción lírica 2018, donde el TRM llevó a escena a una de las óperas más famosas y representadas de la historia, La Bohème.

Este trabajo recibió el premio a la Mejor Producción integral de Ópera, por el círculo de críticos de Arte de Chile. “A pasos agigantados, el Teatro Regional del Maule, con sede en Talca, se ha ido superando  a sí mismo, haciendo suyo un acertado uso de la más moderna tecnología para el diseño escenográfico, situándose en una desafiante delantera”. 

Esta ópera en cuatro actos​ con música de Giacomo Puccini y libreto en italiano de Giuseppe Giacosa y Luigi Illica, en una saga de historias de Henri Murger titulada “Escenas de la vida bohemia”.

 

Su principal característica es su genuina belleza melódica, además de conjugar magistralmente la comedia y el melodrama.

 

El relato original se sitúa en el París de principios del siglo XIX, pero esta puesta en escena del TRM, se ambientó en la década de los 30, cien años después. El argumento gira en torno a la vida de un grupo de artistas en conflicto y con malas condiciones económicas. Un poeta, un pintor, un filósofo y un músico, quienes comparten vivencias con una humilde costurera y una coqueta cantante.

 

La historia principal es el amor entre Mimí y Rodolfo, quienes se enamoran nada más conocerse, pero los celos hacen que Rodolfo quiera dejar a Mimí, sin saber que ella estaba mortalmente enferma. Al enterarse de la situación de salud de su amada, Rodolfo se siente culpable, pues su vida juntos ha empeorado su salud aún más.
