Cast

The servant lady Uberto complains in her heart that the servants are not taking good care of him. Serpina not only does not ask for forgiveness, but also fends off every reproach from Uberto. All this bothers Uberto, and then he orders Vespona to find him a wife - to spite Serpina. Then Serpina brings Vespone to his room and agrees with him about a conspiracy against the owner. Uberto enters, she hides her accomplice and tells Uberto that since he refuses to marry her, she has become engaged to another. His name is Captain Tempest and he has a terrible temper. As Serpina leaves to fetch her "fiancé", Uberto confesses to the public that he sincerely feels sorry for the poor thing. In addition, there is one alarming circumstance for Uberto: from the words of Serpina it is clear that her fiancé demands a huge dowry from him - four thousand crowns, otherwise he threatens that Uberto will not do well. Uberto fears for his capital. Is Tempesta-Wespone. Having received extensive instructions from Serpina on how to behave and what to do, he performs his role simply superbly, demanding a dowry of four thousand crowns. Uberto thinks. It turns out that he himself is not averse to marrying Serpina - she is pretty, and the money will remain intact. Phone, or Love for three Lucy unpacks the gift Ben has just given her. "Oh, that's just what I wanted," she exclaims. Ben, clearly infatuated with the girl and more obviously very embarrassed, manages to say that he's leaving soon, but when he returns, he hopes... Ben musters up his courage to propose to Lucy when the phone rings. It's one of Lucy's girlfriends - and a meaningless chatter begins on the phone to peals of merry laughter: “Jane and Paul are going to get married next July. Isn't it funnier than you can think of? .. Well, what about you? How is John? How is Jean? What do you hear about Ursula? And Natalie? And Rosalia? I hope she's not so cold...” And so on until Ben begins to gradually lose his temper. Finally, the conversation resumes. Ben starts his hard-won proposal once more. There is a new call. Number dialed incorrectly. Oh, but she has to call back herself. Ben starts again. Phone again. This time it's Lucy's friend, George. She seems to be repeating some rumor spread about him and trying, in vain, to defend herself against his reproaches. George hung on the phone for a long time. Ben seriously considers cutting the telephone wire. But at that moment, the phone rings again—quite desperately. Lucy snatches the pipe from Ben, pouting at him for "being able to find out her secret". Now she must call Pamela and tell her about George. Another long phone call. Ben leaves in despair. Hanging up, Lucy indifferently remarks: "So I felt that he had something on his mind." The phone rings. It's Ben dialing Lucy's number; she picks up the phone. Finally, he was able to capture her attention and ask his main question. Will she marry him? - Certainly!
