Susanna and Figaro want to get married. That wouldn't be worth mentioning if Count Almaviva, on whose consent the consummation of the marriage of the two depends, hadn't kept an eye on Susanna himself. Susanna, on the other hand, is related to the Countess Almaviva both professionally and as friends. Together they try to evade the Count's advances and attacks of jealousy and not only arrange for the marriage of Susanna and Figaro, but also to revive the love affair of the Almavivas. And as if that wasn't enough of a task, Cherubino strays between all gender norms and role models and thwarts everything and everyone.

Susanna und Figaro wollen heiraten. Das wäre nicht weiter der Rede wert, wenn der Graf Almaviva, von dessen Zustimmung der Ehevollzug der beiden abhängig ist, nicht selbst ein Auge auf Susanna geworfen hätte. Susanna wiederum ist der Gräfin Almaviva sowohl dienstlich als auch freundschaftlich verbunden. Gemeinsam versuchen sie, den Avancen bzw. Eifersuchtsattacken des Grafen zu entgehen und nicht nur die Hochzeit von Susanna und Figaro zu erwirken, sondern auch die Liebesbeziehung der Almavivas wiederzubeleben. Und als wäre das nicht schon Aufgabe genug, durchkreuzt Cherubino zwischen allen Geschlechternormen und Rollenmodellen irrlichternd alles und jeden.
