Under the direction of director Wouter Van Looy and baroque specialist Nicolas Achten, young singers and musicians create their own version of masterpieces by Claudio Monteverdi. 

Every summer, Muziektheater Transparant organizes an intense rehearsal process in which young singers and musicians create their own version of masterpieces from the Baroque period. In recent years,  L'Orfeo  by Claudio Monteverdi (2010), Venus and Adonis by John Blow (2011) and Dido and Aeneas by Henry Purcell (2012) have featured some of the most beloved Baroque operas. In 2013, Monteverdi's madrigals are the starting point, brilliant vocal works that often remind one of mini operas. The Italian composer closely follows the emotional contrasts in the text with expressive innovative sonorities and unexpected tempo changes. In famous madrigals like T'amo, mia vita, Altri canti d'Amor orHor che 'l ciel e la terra , director Wouter van Looy and musician Nicolas Achten and their young team zoom in on these great emotions and confront them with the desires and feelings of today's young people.

Onder leiding van regisseur Wouter Van Looy en barokspecialist Nicolas Achten creëren jonge zangers en muzikanten hun eigen versie op meesterwerken van Claudio Monteverdi. 

Elke zomer organiseert Muziektheater Transparant een intens repetitieproces waarin jonge zangers en muzikanten hun eigen versie creëren van meesterwerken uit de barokperiode. De voorbije jaren stonden met L'Orfeo van Claudio Monteverdi (2010), Venus and Adonis van John Blow (2011) en Dido en Aeneas van Henry Purcell (2012) enkele van de meest geliefde barokopera's op het programma. In 2013 vormen Monteverdi's madrigalen het vertrekpunt, geniale vocale werken die vaak aan mini-operaatjes doen denken. De Italiaanse componist volgt er de emotionele contrasten uit de tekst op de voet met expressieve vernieuwende sonoriteiten en onverwachte tempowisselingen. In bermoede madrigalen als T'amo, mia vita, Altri canti d'Amor of Hor che 'l ciel e la terra zoomen regisseur Wouter van Looy en muzikant Nicolas Achten met hun jonge team in op deze grote emoties en confronteren hen met de verlangens en gevoelens van jongeren van vandaag.
