Die Fürstinnen und Fürsten des Barock wussten prächtig Hof zu halten. Dazu gehörten nicht nur überladen ausgestattete Paläste und aufwendige Kleider und Perücken, sondern vor allem auch reich gedeckte Tafeln und erbauliche Musik. In der Orangerie der Bayreuther Eremitage bitten wir Sie in barocker Tradition zu einem erlesenen Dinner und laden sie im Anschluss zu einem ebensolchen Konzert im Sonnentempel ein.

Maayan Licht, der beim letztjährigen Festival in der Titelrolle in Alessandro nell’Indie brillierte, präsentiert uns gemeinsam mit dem Cembalisten Guy Maori leichtverdauliche Arien von zwei der größten Komponisten des 18. Jahrhunderts. Ob im leidenschaftlichen „Un pensiero nemico di pace“ aus Il trionfo del Tempo e del Disinganno oder im anrührend-innigen „Lascia ch’io pianga“ aus Rinaldo – in dem ca. 30-minütigen Konzert erleben wir die nuancenreiche Vielfalt von Georg Friedrich Händels enormem Ausdrucksrepertoire, ergänzt durch das melancholisch-verträumte „Zeffiretti che sussurrate“ aus Antonio Vivaldis Pasticcio-Oper Ercole su’l Termodonte.

The baroque princesses and princes knew how to hold court magnificently. This not only included overly furnished palaces and elaborate dresses and wigs, but above all also richly laid tables and uplifting music. In the Orangery of the Bayreuth Hermitage, we invite you to an exquisite dinner in the Baroque tradition and then invite you to a similar concert in the Sun Temple.

Maayan Licht, who shone in the title role in Alessandro nell'Indie at last year's festival , and harpsichordist Guy Maori present us with easily digestible arias by two of the greatest composers of the 18th century. Whether in the passionate "Un pensiero nemico di pace" from Il trionfo del Tempo e del Disinganno or in the touchingly intimate "Lascia ch'io pianga" from Rinaldo - in the approx. 30-minute concert we experience the nuanced diversity of George Frideric Handel enormous expressive repertoire, supplemented by the melancholic-dreamy "Zeffiretti che sussurrate" from Antonio Vivaldi's pasticcio opera Ercole su'l Termodonte .
