Die Stipendiatin der Mozart Gesellschaft Dortmund, Hyejun Kwon, 1995 in Südkorea geboren, ist seit 2022 Mitglied im Internationalen Opernstudio NRW. Zuvor absolvierte sie ihren Masterstudiengang bei Prof. Wolak an der Musikhochschule Hanns Eisler Berlin und ihren Bachelorstudiengang an der Ewha Womans Universität in Seoul, Südkorea. Sie gewann mehrere 1. Preise bei internationalen Wettbewerben und als Opernsängerin sammelte sie bereits wertvolle Erfahrungen, derzeit am Opernhaus in Wuppertal. Im Sommer 2023 wird sie beim Verbier Festival Atelier Lyrique Programm auftreten, wo sie u. a. in der Oper »The Rake's Progress« debütieren wird.
