‎It is so green when Spain's flowers bloom – you certainly know this refrain. It is from the musical My Fair Lady, one of the most played musicals in the German-speaking world and a synonym for the classical musical itself. In the popular Miesbach version of the Freie Landestheater Bayern, Professor Higgins turns the Bavarian flower girl Eliza into a lady "of the world". The path from "hoaßn Tää" to "hot tea" proves to be rocky, but thanks to Higgin's unorthodox and dwarf-shaking methods also extremely entertaining.

The author Alan Jay Lerner used the humorously biting comedy "Pygmalion" by the English Nobel Prize winner George Bernard Shaw (1856-1950) as a literary model. An ideal play for the Freie Landestheater Bayern, which repeatedly successfully places the examination of the dialect at the center of its artistic interest. It goes without saying that the "Lady" at the Freie Landestheater Bayern converses on BAIRISCH, not always to the delight of her teacher, but all the more to the thigh-tapping pleasure of the audience.
