We step into Cinderella’s enchanted world. Fairy tales are, by default, bittersweet. Our princess-in-waiting meets the steely glint of Prokofiev’s music in one of the most dazzling ballet scores ever written. Stories don’t always go in one direction as we’ll find out in, Concentric Paths, a violin concerto by Thomas Adès, a musical ellipsis – it orbits, restless and haunting.
