An evening placed under the sign of the grace and poetry of a humanist tale where human and animal destinies intersect with humor, fantasy and melancholy. Janáček, who is known for his particularly black dramas such as Jenufa or Katia Kabanova , is an exception here. The musician, then seventy years old, tells us the adventures of a gamekeeper, an innkeeper, a priest, a schoolmaster... and a vixen, a fox , a dog, a rooster and a few hens, crickets, grasshoppers, flies, dragonflies, an owl, a badger… But in the forest, nothing ever gets old except the illusions of men. To accompany this poetic bestiary, the return of the talented Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla and her musicians from the Birmingham Orchestra.

Une soirée placée sous le signe de la grâce et de la poésie d’un conte humaniste où destinées humaines et animalières s’entrecroisent avec humour, fantaisie et mélancolie. Janáček, que l’on connaît pour ses drames particulièrement noirs que sont Jenufa ou Katia Kabanova, fait ici exception. Le musicien, alors âgé de soixante-dix ans, nous narre les aventures d’un garde-chasse, d’un aubergiste, d’un curé, d’un maître d’école… et d’une renarde, d’un renard, d’un chien, d’un coq et de quelques poules, de grillons, sauterelles, mouches, libellules, d’une chouette, d’un blaireau… Mais dans la forêt, rien ne vieillit jamais sauf les illusions des hommes. Pour accompagner ce bestiaire poétique, le retour de la talentueuse Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla et de ses musiciens de l’Orchestre de Birmingham.
