RIGOLETTO – an opera out of creative necessity

From the point of view of the audience, I choose "La Traviata", but as a composer - "Rigoletto".

Already at the Venetian premiere, Verdi became convinced that the audience loved Rigoletto . Although the composer's new style was quite a surprise, the gloomy fate of the court jester and his daughter Gilda touched the hearts of the audience and their musical sensitivity. There is no shortage of hits in the opera, such as the famous aria of the Prince La donna è mobile and Gilda's showpiece Caro nome, but it is the characters straight from Hugo's drama The King is Amusing - very human and very lifelike, burdened with problems and twisted emotions - that have taken over the audience.
This is still the case today despite the passage of years. Rigolettonext to La Traviata and Aida, it is the work of the master from Busetto that is most often performed on the world's opera stages. Always warmly welcomed by music lovers thirsty for musical lyricism and theater lovers who expect good theater from the opera. Rigoletto
returns to our stage after many years. His previous productions, and there were five of them in Łódź, were always popular with the audience, also because this opera was lucky to have excellent performers. It will be no different this time! And the Italian-Polish set of great producers makes the chance to meet real art even closer! A dissolute prince, a naive girl, a distraught father... The finale can be expected!

RIGOLETTO – opera z twórczej potrzeby

Z punktu widzenia publiczności wybieram „Traviatę”, ale jako kompozytor – „Rigoletto”.

Już na weneckiej prapremierze Verdi przekonał się, że publiczność pokochała Rigoletto. Wprawdzie zaskoczenie nowym stylem kompozytora było niemałe, jednak ponure losy nadwornego błazna i jego córki Gildy poruszyły serca widzów i ich muzyczną wrażliwość. Nie brakuje w operze przebojów, jak choćby słynna aria Księcia La donna è mobile i popisowa Gildy – Caro nome, ale to postaci rodem z dramatu Hugo Król się bawi – bardzo ludzkie i bardzo życiowe, obarczone problemami i pokrętnymi emocjami – zawładnęły publicznością.
Tak jest do dziś mimo upływu lat. Rigoletto obok Traviaty i Aidy jest najczęściej na światowych scenach operowych wykonywanym dziełem mistrza z Busetto. Zawsze gorąco przyjmowane przez spragnionych liryki muzycznej melomanów i oczekujących od opery dobrego teatru – teatromanów.
Na naszą scenę Rigoletto powraca po latach. Jego poprzednie realizacje, a było ich w Łodzi pięć, zawsze cieszyły się powodzeniem u publiczności także dlatego, że opera ta miała szczęście do znakomitych wykonawców. Nie inaczej będzie i tym razem! A włosko-polski zestaw świetnych realizatorów szansę na spotkanie z prawdziwą sztuką jeszcze bardziej przybliża!
Rozpustny książę, naiwna dziewczyna, zrozpaczony ojciec… Finału można się spodziewać!
