Holliger, a great musician who continues to attract attention worldwide. In this program, it is as if Holliger reveals the important emotions that remain in our hearts at all times, such as loving and losing. The first track, Racine, is a Swiss composer whose work Holliger has been focusing on in recent years. "Twilight" related to "Night" is based on five haiku poems Holliger himself wrote on New Year's Eve in 1991 in a park near the Imperial Palace, while anticipating the death of his teacher and composer Veres, who had fled from Hungary to Switzerland. was composed to Next is Veresh's "Elegy dedicated to the memory of Bartok". It was written in the midst of the shock of the obituary of Bartók, whom Veres had looked up to as his teacher in Hungary until he fled to Switzerland. And finally, Bartok's "Music for Strings, Percussion and Celesta". This work was commissioned by the Swiss conductor Sacher, who had a close relationship with Holliger. It will be a one-of-a-kind concert with deep autobiographical elements that weaves together the works of 20th and 21st century composers who have been involved in his life.

世界的に注目を集めつづける大音楽家ホリガー。今回のプログラムは、愛すること、失うこと…人としていかなる時も心に留まる大切な感情をホリガー自身が明らかにしていくかのようです。１曲目のラシーヌは、ホリガーが近年作品の紹介に力を入れているスイスの作曲家。『夜』にまつわる「薄明」は、1991年の大晦日の夜、皇居近くの公園で、ハンガリーからスイスに亡命した恩師・作曲家ヴェレシュの死を予感しながらホリガー自身が詠んだ5つの俳句をもとに作曲されました。続くのはそのヴェレシュによる「バルトークの思い出に捧げる哀歌」。ヴェレシュがスイスに亡命するまでハンガリーで恩師として仰いでいたバルトークの訃報、その衝撃の中で書かれました。そして最後はバルトーク「弦楽器、打楽器とチェレスタのための音楽」。これはホリガーとも縁の深いスイスの指揮者ザッハーの委嘱作でした。彼の人生に関わってきた20世紀、21世紀の作曲家の作品を紡いだ、自伝的要素の深い唯一無二の演奏会となるでしょう。
