Andrew Lloyd Webber's Musical School of Rock promises a real coupto become. Like the Jack Black film on which it is based, it tells the story of unemployed rock musician Dewey Finn, who poses as a music teacher and gets a temp job at a prestigious private school. There he seems completely out of place at first, but then inspires his class to start a rock band and take part in the band competition "Battle of the Bands". Shortly before the contest, however, the dizziness flies up and Dewey is thrown out in a high arc. But his class can't offer that... Castings for the 14 double cast children's roles, which not only sing, dance and play, but also the typical rock band instruments drums, electric guitar, electric bass and keyboard, began in autumn 2022 have to master. After more than ten years, the Linz musical division is presenting a Lloyd Webber musical for the first time - and of course it is a German-language premiere!
