Als »Vater unserer modernen Musik« wurde Heinrich Schütz schon von seinen deutschen Zeitgenossen verehrt. Zusammen mit den gleichaltrigen Kollegen Schein und Scheidt prägte er die Musikwelt seiner Epoche über ihren mitteldeutschen Wirkungskreis hinaus. Das Marini Consort Innsbruck geht der freundschaftlichen Verbindung und gegenseitigen Inspiration der »drey berühmten S.« nach, bringt Vorbilder und Lehrmeister wie Giovanni Gabrieli ins Spiel und lässt sich vom klangfarblichen Reichtum ihrer Partituren zu fantasievollen Consort-Versionen anregen. Die neogotische Kirche auf der idyllischen Halbinsel Hermannswerder bietet dazu den stimmungsvollen Hintergrund.

Heinrich Schütz was already revered by his German contemporaries as the »father of our modern music«. Together with colleagues of the same age, Schein and Scheidt, he shaped the music world of his era beyond their central German sphere of activity. The Marini Consort Innsbruck follows the friendly connection and mutual inspiration of the "three famous S.", brings role models and teachers like Giovanni Gabrieli into play and lets the richness of the tonal color of their scores inspire them to create imaginative consort versions. The neo-Gothic church on the idyllic Hermannswerder peninsula offers the atmospheric background.
