As part of this year's semi-staged double bill, Singapore Lyric Opera presents the perfect pairing of opera tragedies, Mascagni's Cavalleria Rusticana and Leoncavallo's Pagliacci (also known as Cav & Pag).

Cav tells a story of love, betrayal, and revenge in Sicily. Pag tells a dramatic story of infidelity, jealousy, and revenge. The themes of love triangles, domestic violence, adultery, and murder, so intensely portrayed in these operas, also appear in contemporary news headlines.

Do not miss the perfect opera pairs! Enjoy Mascagni's & Leoncavallo's stunning works, including "Easter Hymn", "Intermezzo", and "Vesti la giubba".
The semi-staged opera will be sung in Italian, with English spoken dialogue, and accompanied by English & Chinese surtitles.

The Singapore Lyric Opera, established in 1991, aims to engage Singaporeans in the appreciation and presentation of opera through nurturing and promoting the joyful art of singing.
