World premiere ... How expensive this phrase is for the modern theater, because it does not often appear on the poster! How much excitement and expectations are associated with it!
For the first time, we are showing the public a performance that no one has ever created before. And since its name is associated with the name of the famous detective Sherlock Holmes who conquered the whole world, then you should not miss the opportunity to unfold the story in the style of a detective. So, one day, not at all in foggy London, but in sparkling Las Vegas, our outstanding contemporary, director and playwright Mark Rozovsky decided to write a new play.
- What were his motives? Sherlock Holmes would ask.
“He got an inspiration,” Dr. Watson would answer.
- Not at all! It was just raining outside that day.
- But this is not logical!
- Watson, this is natural!
It was quite natural that Mark Grigorievich's proposal to stage the musical in our theater, whose team he knew very well from working on the play "The Sounds of a Musical", also became quite natural. One important detail was missing - the music! And here a new character came into play - the famous Rostov composer Igor Levin, who created many musical works that conquered the audience in many Russian theaters and at the same time won a prestigious prize at the competition. Shostakovich. The music was written with an unprecedented passion and was completed in a few months.
And then, one after another, new heroes appeared - artist Alexander Lisyansky, conductor Alexei Shakuro, choreographer Olga Kostel, costume designer Natalya Zemalindinova, lighting designer Irina Vtornikova, as well as actors, directors, tutors, accompanists, specialists from all theater shops.
And ... The long-awaited moment has come when the curtain will open and the amazing mystery of the theater will begin. And we, with bated breath, will follow Sherlock Holmes, his friend and colleague Dr. Watson, we will find out, for the umpteenth time, the secret of the dancing men, we will empathize with the tragic story of Sir Hilton and his wife Ilsi, we will understand that even a great detective can be late and to allow what is foreshadowed from above to come to pass.
An omen is an insidious thing, but it seems that one line of fate is known for sure: the musical "Sherlock Holmes and the Dancing Men" will have a long and, no doubt, a happy life on the stage of our native Rostov Musical Theater!
