Em julho de 2022, o maestro estónio Risto Joost dirigiu o Coro e a Orquestra Gulbenkian na Missa em Si Menor, de J. S. Bach, no encerramento das comemorações do 3.º aniversário da inscrição do Real Edifício de Mafra na Lista do Património Mundial da UNESCO. Em março de 2003, teve a sua estreia no Grande Auditório Gulbenkian, dirigindo o Requiem de Mozart. Reconhecido pela sua versatilidade, tem construído uma profícua relação com o reportório barroco e clássico, regressando em 2024 para dirigir uma das mais grandiosas obras corais de J. S. Bach, a Paixão segundo São João.

In July 2022, the Estonian maestro Risto Joost conducted the Gulbenkian Choir and Orchestra in the Mass in B Minor , by JS Bach, at the end of the celebrations for the 3rd anniversary of the inscription of the Real Edifício de Mafra on the UNESCO World Heritage List . In March 2003, he made his debut at the Gulbenkian Grand Auditorium, directing Mozart's Requiem . Recognized for his versatility, he has built a fruitful relationship with the baroque and classical repertoire, returning in 2024 to direct one of the greatest choral works by JS Bach, the Passion according to Saint John
