The Saint-Denis Festival and the Orchester National de Lille would like to thank Jodie Devos for ensuring the entire program following the withdrawal of Sophie Karthäuser, who is ill.

Third Stabat Mater of this edition is the masterpiece that Poulenc composed in memory of a friend. The work created in 1951 immediately enjoyed great success both in Europe and in the United States, which has not been denied since.

The soprano part is performed by Jodie Devos, who is participating in the Festival for the first time. Britten's Illuminations on poems by Rimbaud, are an opportunity to hear the voice of Sophie Karthäuser.

Troisième Stabat Mater de cette édition c’est le chef-d’œuvre que Poulenc compose à la mémoire d’un ami. L’œuvre créée en 1951 connut immédiatement un grand succès tant en Europe qu’aux Etats-Unis, qui ne s’est pas démenti depuis.

La partie de soprano est interprétée par Jodie Devos dont c’est la première participation au Festival. Les Illuminations de Britten sur des poèmes de Rimbaud, sont l’occasion d’entendre la voix de Sophie Karthäuser.
