Strauss's last and largest orchestral work has all the powers needed for an experience of awe—music for an ascent to the height of the world. Rockstar violinist Nemanja Radulović makes his DSO debut, and we hear new music by Jessie Montgomery that is "wildly colorful and exploding with life" (Washington Post).
