The concert entitled " Journey to the 20th Century " is the first concert for the 2023-2024 season, and is given as part of the Philharmonia's collaboration with the Athens Conservatory. Collaboration that was launched at the end of 2022 and has already become an important institution in the musical affairs of the Capital.

The concert takes place on  Friday, October 27  and includes two works by important Greek composers, the living Dimitris Terzakis and Petros Petridis (1892-1977). The Artistic Director of the Philharmonia, a distinguished and internationally renowned chief musician, Byron Fidetzis , will take the podium  .

The program also includes a work by the French composer Darius Milhaud, the  Cello Concerto no. 1 , with soloist  Yiannis Tsitselikis  and Honegger's 4th Symphony  “ Deliciae Basilenses ”. Common denominator, the 20th century, an era of intense searches and changes in the music of previous centuries.

Η συναυλία με τίτλο «Ταξίδι στον 20ο αιώνα» είναι η πρώτη συναυλία για τη σεζόν 2023-2024, και δίνεται στο πλαίσιο της συνεργασίας της Φιλαρμόνιας με το Ωδείο Αθηνών. Συνεργασία που εγκαινιάστηκε στα τέλη του 2022 και ήδη έγινε ένα σημαντικός θεσμός στα μουσικά πράγματα της Πρωτεύουσας.

Η συναυλία πραγματοποιείται την Παρασκευή, 27 Οκτωβρίου και περιλαμβάνει δύο έργα σημαντικών Ελλήνων συνθετών, του εν ζωή Δημήτρη Τερζάκη και του Πέτρου Πετρίδη (1892-1977). Στο πόντιουμ θα ανέβει ο Καλλιτεχνικός Διευθυντής της Φιλαρμόνιας, διακεκριμένος και διεθνούς φήμης αρχιμουσικός, Βύρων Φιδετζής.

Το πρόγραμμα περιλαμβάνει επίσης ένα έργο του Γάλλου συνθέτη Darius Milhaud, το Κοντσέρτο για Βιολοντσέλο αρ. 1, με σολίστ τον Γιάννη Τσιτσελίκη και την 4η Συμφωνία του Honegger “Deliciae Basilenses”. Κοινός παρονομαστής, ο 20ος αιώνας, μία εποχή έντονων αναζητήσεων και αλλαγών στη μουσική των προηγούμενων αιώνων.
