Elizabethan composer Thomas Tallis was one of the first composers to set music to English texts after the Reformation. "If ye love me" remains one of the most widely performed Tudor anthems.

'Breathtaking', 'goosebumps worthy', 'unforgettable': the British Tenebrae has been reviewed straight to the top of the world in recent years. In the run-up to Christmas, the choir presents a typical English Advent program in which traditional Christmas carols and contemporary repertoire alternate. Classics such as In dulci jubilo and The Twelve Days of Christmas can be heard alongside new work by Joseph Phibbs and Joanna Marsh.
