La giovane Mercoledì è innamorata di Lucas, un ragazzo “normale” appartenente ad una “normale” famiglia americana; i due vogliono sposarsi. Confidarlo a sua madre può risultare un problema e la complicità tra la ragazza e suo padre li condurrà a mantenere lo scomodo segreto. Attenzione però, è molto pericoloso nascondere un segreto alla padrona di casa! Un invito a cena in casa Addams e il tradizionale “Gioco” porteranno le famiglie dei due giovani innamorati a conoscersi meglio, a confessare segreti inconfessabili in una convulsa serata piena di equivoci e scomode verità che cambierà le vite di tutti.

Basata sul fumetto creato da Charles Addams negli anni ‘30 questa divertentissima musical comedy, nata dalla penna e dall’estro di Andrew Lippa, Marshall Brickman e Rick Elice, ha visto il suo esordio nel 2010 a Broadway con Nathan Lane nei panni di Gomez Addams e Bebe Neuwirth in quelli di Morticia.

Ispirandosi alla nota serie televisiva degli anni ‘60 la Compagnia della Corona riporta in scena le vicende paradossali e dense di black humour di questa sgangherata famiglia… d’altri tempi.

Young Wednesday is in love with Lucas, a "normal" boy belonging to a "normal" American family; the two want to get married. Confiding it to her mother could be a problem and her complicity between the girl and her father will lead them to keep the uncomfortable secret. Be careful though, it is very dangerous to hide a secret from the hostess! An invitation to dinner at the Addams house and the traditional "Game" will lead the families of the two young lovers to get to know each other better, to confess unspeakable secrets in a frantic evening full of misunderstandings and uncomfortable truths that will change everyone's lives.

Based on the comic created by Charles Addams in the 1930s, this hilarious musical comedy, born from the pen and creativity of Andrew Lippa, Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, saw its debut in 2010 on Broadway with Nathan Lane in the role of Gomez Addams and Bebe Neuwirth as Morticia.

Inspired by the well-known television series of the 1960s, Compagnia della Corona brings back to the stage the paradoxical and black-humorous events of this ramshackle family... from times gone by.
