In November 2022, during a short but memorable stay in Lisbon, some friends of mine helped me to throw together an impromptu solo piano performance at a wonderful recording studio called Timbuktu. We ended up with a small audience gathered around the piano and a video crew to document it. It was a bit of a chaotic period for me in my personal life, but there were some moments we captured that evening which felt worth sharing. This is one of them: the first piece that I played that night, a prayer of sorts that I wrote for Terence Blanchard's band (recorded on his album "A Tale of God's Will"). A sincere thank you to everyone who helped this to come together, particularly Diogo Alexandre, Inês Laginha, José Soares, Joana Appleton Figueira, and Diogo Cavaco. I hope you enjoy.

One of the jazz world’s great piano players, Aaron Parks teams up with guitarist Tom Ollendorf for an unmissable show as part of their European tour. With support from Leeds-based rising star, trumpeter Olivia Cutill.

New York-based Pianist Aaron Parks is a forward-thinking jazz musician who came to the public’s attention during his time with trumpeter Terence Blanchard – recording three albums with him including the Grammy-winning A Tale of God’s Will (A Requiem for Katrina). His own music has been released to critical acclaim on Blue Note, ECM and Ropeadope Records, and in 2016 he was listed as one of Downbeat Magazine’s ’25 for the Future’.

Tom Ollendorff is fast becoming one of the best-known young guitarists to emerge on the international jazz scene. In 2021 his debut album A Song For You received international acclaim and 4-star reviews from both BBC Music Magazine and Jazz Journal.
