"C'è musica & musica" is the new project of the Teatro del Maggio dedicated to dissemination that will develop over eight Sundays from October 1st to December 17th, 2023: it is aimed at families but also at all those who wish to learn more about the fascinating world of music.
The title is an explicit tribute to the great composer Luciano Berio, on the 20th anniversary of his death, and to one of his famous television programs dedicated to the dissemination of music.
In the concerts - all of them one hour long - the instruments of the orchestra and the forms of music will be illustrated through original and captivating programs: the concert, the symphony, the great pieces with voices.
The protagonists of these mornings will be the Maggio Musicale Orchestra and Choir, the Artists and Children's Choir of the Maggio Musicale Academy and some talented young conductors: Cesare Della Sciucca, Attilia Kiyoko Cernitori, Nicolò Jacopo Suppa , Riccardo Bisatti, Matteo Parmeggiani and Pietro Mazzetti. Together with them the Maestro del Coro del Maggio Lorenzo Fratini, in the role of conductor, the shoulder of the Orchestra del Maggio Salvatore Quaranta, engaged as conductor and soloist, and the first parts: the violist Jörg Winkler, the cellist Simão Pedro Alcoforado Barriera and the double bass player Marco Martelli.
The reciting voices will be two multifaceted Florentine actors, Gaia Nanni and Lorenzo Baglioni, who the public also knows for their television and film appearances, one of the most famous Italian baritones of recent decades, Alfonso Antoniozzi, and Davide Gasparro, repeatedly present in shows for the children of the Teatro del Maggio.
