Sin dal 1948, anno della fondazione del celeberrimo Deller consort, la vocalità inglese ha saputo imporre in tutto il mondo uno stile e un repertorio assolutamente originali e spesso insuperabili. Una tradizione che viene degnamente onorata oggi dai Voces8, gruppo a cappella che sta letteralmente spopolando nelle sale di tutto il mondo. Come da tradizione il loro repertorio procede dal Rinascimento fino ai nostri giorni, scegliendo autori classici e non, inglesi, americani, italiani o francesi, testi originali o abilmente arrangiati alternando stilemi colti, jazz e pop. Una musica vocale che ama appropriarsi in continuazione dei toni propri alla musica strumentale, abbandonandosi allo scorrere lungo e quieto degli accordi per imboccare subito dopo i percorsi virtuosistici di ritmi vorticosi e arzigogolati. L’ottetto dei Voces8 si è formato nel 2003 da un gruppo di ex cantori di Westminster Abbey e si è subito affermato in tutto il mondo per equilibrio sonoro, precisione assoluta d’intonazione e ritmica. Nella loro pur breve storia scorrono i nomi delle sale più prestigiose del mondo, dalla Wigmore Hall di Londra alla Mariinsky Theatre Concert Hall di San Pietroburgo, dal Teatro dell’Opera di Tel Aviv e Shanghai alla Concert Hall a New York City. In questa stagione si esibiranno in oltre 100 concerti nel Regno Unito e in tutta Europa, in Israele e negli Stati Uniti; torneranno anche a Trento per un’altra delle loro molteplici performance assolutamente avvincenti.

Since 1948, the year of the foundation of the famous Deller consort, the English vocals have been able to impose an absolutely original and often unsurpassed style and repertoire all over the world. A tradition that is worthily honored today by Voces8, an a cappella group that is literally depopulating in theaters all over the world. As per tradition, their repertoire proceeds from the Renaissance to the present day, choosing classical and non-classical, English, American, Italian or French authors, original texts or cleverly arranged alternating cultured stylistic elements, jazz and pop. A vocal music that loves to continuously appropriate the tones proper to instrumental music, abandoning itself to the long and quiet flow of the chords to immediately take the virtuosic paths of swirling and convoluted rhythms. The Voces8 octet was formed in 2003 by a group of former Westminster Abbey singers and immediately made a name for itself all over the world for its sound balance, absolute precision of intonation and rhythm.
