After the success of King Arthur, presented at major European festivals, Vox Luminis discovers The Fairy Queen by Henry Purcell, a semi-opera in five acts written for the Dorset Garden in 1692.

The dramatic plot of the book takes up Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night 's Dream where four young lovers are in search of an ideal love. But what madness, this story! Haunted by illusions, filled with allusions – like an enchantment. Purcell distributes the roles over a large number of soloists.
The first quality of Vox Luminis is thus put forward, the whole juggles with these sparkling voices which resonate right in the middle of Chinese shadows, like visions between the material and immaterial world; suggestive imagery developed by Belgian scenographer Emilie Lauwers and Portuguese filmmaker Mário Melo Costa .
