Rachel Ong is a Singaporean Soprano & Keyboardist who specializes in Baroque & Post-Romantic Repertoire. She recently graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland with 1st Class Honours, studying Vocal Performance under the operatic mezzo Elizabeth (Mandy) McCormack, Pipe Organ (2nd study) with North-German repertoire specialist David Hamilton; as well as with soprano Jeong Ae Ree in Singapore prior. She was also tutored by harpsichordist Jan Waterfield on working with Harpsichord Continuo and interpreting Baroque vocal music, and coached in masterclasses by acclaimed sopranos Rowan Pierce and Jane Irwin. Recent operatic solos include Amore (scenes) in Cavalli’s L’Egisto (2020), Second Woman / Belinda in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas (2019), and Fortuna in Monteverdi’s L’Incoronazione
