Raúl Gabriel Iriarte

Raúl Gabriel Iriarte was born in Bahía Blanca in Argentina. He has the Austrian nationality. He studied singing with Mario Monachesi (La Plata/Argentina) and graduated in composition and conducting at the Universidad Nacional of La Plata. He started his carrer as a lyrical tenor. He was particulary brilliant in Mozart operas. Besides Don Ottavio and Belmonte he also sang other lyrical roles like Rinuccio (Gianni Schicchi), Duca di Mantova (Rigoletto), Hoffmann (Les contes d'Hoffmann) and Alfred (Die Fledermaus). Today he sings numerous parts of the spinto tenor repertoire which includes the most difficult Verdi operas. He made guest appearances with the following parts in various opera houses : Riccardo - Un ballo in maschera (National Theater Burgas / Bulagaria), Don José - Carmen (Musi
