Wow, what an experience. Not something we would usually attend but it was recommended to us by my cousin and as we were staying close by near Piazza Barberini, we thought 'it's only an hour, why not?' We weren't disappointed. Even though we're not opera goers, one couldn't fail to be impressed by the voices of the singers and the skill of the accompanying pianist. Set in the chapel of an old church, the acoustics allowed the music to soar effortlessly and sweep the audience up. Do try and go if you're ever staying in Rome.
When in Rome, do not miss this intimate, warm and amazing concert by very accomplished opera singers, a soprano and a tenor, accompanied by a talented and accomplished pianist. Many famous arias and duets are presented along with a few piano solos. The venue is in the chapel of St. Andrews Church of Scotland. All seats are good, but sit in the front for a personal experience. The wine served at the end and the opportunity to chat with the professionals. is a special treat. Be there.

Wow!! This opera evening was absolutely stunning, organised well, and the piano and ladies voices blew us all away..its like entering into a world of harmonius beauty..not to be missed..even better my husband finally fell in love with opera music..I now have a partner to go with! Simply stunning
We’ve been in Rome for a month. We have seen most of the opera and 3 tenor concerts that are available. This was by far the best. The soprano and tenor were outstanding. The program featured all the best arias and duets from the most popular operas. The pianist was so talented. We sat in front of him and we couldn’t believe how well he played. The entire evening was memorable. We would definitely do this again. When we come back to Rome, this will be the first ticket we purchase.
ieri sera concerto nella sede di via venti settembre. Accolti alla porta da Camilla, deliziosa, educatissima, professionale e carina, insomma una bella persona. Essendo andati con gli autobus avevamo una bomba biologica nelle mani, siamo andati in bagno e il rubinetto schizzava acqua dappertutto. Urge intervento di un idraulico. Il concerto e' stato veramente stupendo, la soprano Federica Gibilisco, il tenore Mauro De Santis e il pianista Giovanni Velluto sono stati bravissimi e cantando in mezzo agli spettatori hanno creato un atmosfera mollto suggestiva. Ma il momento magico si avvera alla fine, quando aprono lo spumante e si brinda tutti insieme. L'orario e' indovinatissimo, si inizia alle 19,30 e si finisce un po' dopo le 21, quindi non si fa tardi e volendo si puo' andare a cena in uno dei tanti ristoranti del centro di Roma. Il biglietto non e' economico, costa 40 euri, una poltrona in platea al Quirino ne costa 30 circa, ma sono soldi benissimo spesi!! Sicuramente tornero' giovanni
